"Fred Hutch offers the latest and best care for cancer in a collaborative setting that takes each patient's entire experience into account." — Dr. Sethi
What brought you to oncology?I have always been intrigued with cancer because it can be so complicated. Because of this, we physicians need to stay up to date on the latest in the field. It keeps us on our toes.
What do you value most about your work?It is important to me to help patients feel informed so they can make the right decisions during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Provider Background Specialty: Medical OncologyMedical oncology, integrative oncology, GI cancers
I am a medical oncologist who sees patients at Fred Hutch at Overlake Cancer Center.
I like to see decisions as collaborative: I consider each patient's personal situation and focus on their quality of life, and I enjoy working with a team that's focused on this, too. I also find my long-term relationships with my patients very fulfilling. I like taking care of patients as a whole and serving as their guide.
Community Oncology
Our mission is to provide patients with the highest quality, personalized care closer to home. As part of Fred Hutch, our community oncologists offer patients multidisciplinary tumor board opinions, clinical trials and expertise in treating a variety of cancers.

Gastroenterologists Among Top Five Earners In Medicine
Gastroenterologists are among the top five highest earning specialties, according to the 2023 Medscape "Gastroenterologist Compensation Report," published May 24.
Gastroenterologists earned an average of $501,000 in 2022, up 11 percent from $453,000 in 2021. They finished fifth among the 29 specialties in the Medscape survey of more than 10,000 physicians, behind plastic surgery, orthopedics, cardiology and urology.
Among those surveyed, 20 percent of gastroenterologists said nonphysician practitioners were their biggest competition affecting their compensation. Meanwhile, 7 percent named physicians or insurers offering telemedicine and 5 percent named "minute clinics" and big box store clinics like Walmart as their biggest competitors.
