Hospital officials said PeaceHealth will close its pediatric cardiology clinic, sleep clinic, optometry clinic and optical shop on July 21. It's also ending its comprehensive outpatient palliative care May 26 and reducing staff to one nurse and one social worker for in-home care. Officials told KLCC that "69 positions have been eliminated in the PeaceHealth Oregon network." Medical staff at PeaceHealth Medical Center, which runs the cardiology clinic in Springfield, Ore., were given a 90-day notice to transition care of about 200 children and teens with heart conditions. Carter, now 95, remains at home with former President Jimmy Carter, 98, who has been at home receiving hospice care since early this year. "She continues to live happily at home with her husband, enjoying spring in Plains and visits with loved ones," the family said via The Carter Center, the global humanitarian organization the couple founded in 1982, less than two years after Jimmy Carter's landslide defeat. Married nearly 77 years, the Carters are the longest-married first couple in U.S. History. The family noted in its statement that Rosalynn Carter has spent her long public life advocating for individuals and families affected by mental illness and for those in caregiving relationships with loved ones. my health online stanford :: Article Creator Stanford Team Makes Electronic Skin That Can Sense Touch Stanford scientists have developed a soft and stretchable electronic skin that can directly talk to the brain, imitating the sensory feedback of real skin using a strategy that, if improved, could offer hope to millions of people with prosthetic limbs. "We were inspired by the natural system and wanted to mimic it," said Weichen Wang, whose team published its success in the journal Science. "Maybe we can someday help patients to not only restore motor function, but also restore their sensations." Much faster, larger and more sophisticated circuitry is needed before so-called "e-skin" holds promise for people. But, in a milestone, the device showed remarkable success in a lab rat. When researchers pressed the rat's e-skin and sent electronic pulses to its brain, the animal responded by twitching its leg. Scie

gastro care clinic :: Article Creator UK Firm Aims To Clear Gastroenterology Backlog Health bosses in Guernsey are bringing in a UK company to try and clear the backlog of gastroenterology procedures. Health and Social Care (HSC) said clinics operated by Medinet would start on 1 June in an effort to reduce the waiting list for endoscopy procedures. The list had grown partly because the Covid pandemic caused procedures to be suspended, officials said. HSC President Al Brouard told the States the additional clinics would "result in around 50 patients per weekend being seen". Pre-pandemic, the waiting list for procedures was under 150 patients. By March 2021, it had risen to 492. By the end of April 2023, the inpatient waiting list for symptomatic gastroenterology patients was 536. The clinics are due to run for 12 weeks, from Thursday until Sunday. Island Medical Director Dr Peter Rabey said patients would "receive the
